19-year-old arrested in fatal Durham shooting

Durham police arrested a 19-year-old man Friday in connection with a fatal shooting last weekend.

DURHAM, N.C. — Durham police arrested a 19-year-old man Friday in connection with a fatal shooting last weekend. 

Kaaylon Pamplin, 17, was found shot in the head on Oct. 6 near Burlington Avenue and Nebo Street. He later died from his injuries.

Jamaal Daquan Lowery was arrested about 10 p.m. Friday night and faces one count of first-degree murder in the case. He was in the Durham County jail Friday night. 

No other information about the shooting was released.
