16-year-old killed Wednesday in Person County wreck

Kimberley Fitzgerald, of Timberlake, was pulling out from a parking lot around 5:30 p.m. on Ashley Avenue to U.S. Highway 501 and failed to yield to two other cars traveling southbound, according to the North Carolina State Highway Patrol. Fitzgerald was killed in the crash.

The drivers of the two other vehicles were injured, troopers said, but their conditions were unknown and their identities were not released.
