Public pools across the region are now open. Our public pool database has the details. Just know that to reserve your spot, you will need to pre-register at many of the pools this summer.

We have baseball ...

The Durham Bulls have home games through Sunday. They include fireworks after the game Friday evening. Kids can run the bases after Sunday's game.
The Carolina Mudcats also are at home through Sunday. And Family Sundays return to Five County Stadium on Sunday. Fans living in Wake, Franklin, Nash, Johnston and Wilson counties pay just $6 for box seat tickets.
And the Holly Springs Salamanders, which features collegiate players, have home games on Saturday and Sunday.

Triangle Drive-In at Triangle Town Center will screen the new version of "Coming 2 America" on Friday evening. "Raya and the Last Dragon" is scheduled for Saturday. Tickets are $10 for adults, $7 for kids ages 4 to 12 and free for kids under age 4.

And the Drive-In at Carraway Village in Chapel Hill is screening "Cruella" through June 10. Tickets are $12.90 and $10.75 for kids ages 4 to 10.

Duke Gardens has reopened to the public, but with limited capacity. It is open on weekends, but you might want to get there early to avoid a crowd (or go on a weekday if you can swing it).

Marbles Kids Museum has launched a month of activities that celebrate the outdoors. Visitors can "camp and kayak" in the Hit the Trail exhibit, stop by a ranger station in River Playway and learn about animals in the wild. The museum's IMAX theater also will debut the new IMAX 3D documentary Into the Wild. Masks are required at Marbles. So are pre-booked admission tickets.

The Holly Springs Farmers Market will host a petting zoo with baby chicks, ducklings, bunnies, a baby goat and lamb from 9:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m., Saturday. It's at 300 W. Ballentine St., Holly Springs.

The N.C. Symphony will start streaming one of its Young People's Concerts on Saturday. It features The Carnival of the Animals by French composer Camille Saint-Saens. Each movement represents a different animal. Tickets are $21.46. The next family concert is slated for June 19. Check the symphony's website for details about both.
