1 Ejected From Car in Nash Co. Accident

Troopers said they believe alcohol and speed helped cause the accident, which was still under investigation late Saturday night.

ROCKY MOUNT, N.C. — One man was thrown from a car during a two-car accident in Nash County on Saturday evening, state troopers said.

The collision occurred near the intersection of West Mount Drive and Old Carriage Road southwest of Rocky Mount around 6:30 p.m.

One man was ejected from his car and suffered head trauma, troopers said. He was transported to Nash General and then airlifted to Pitt Memorial Hospital in Greenville.

Troopers said they believe alcohol and speed helped cause the accident, which was still under investigation late Saturday night.
