1 dead, 1 injured after head-on ATV crash in Wayne County
One person is dead and another is injured after two all-terrain vehicles crashed early Monday.

PIKEVILLE, N.C. — One person is dead and another is injured after two all-terrain vehicles crashed early Monday.
According to officials with the North Carolina State Highway Patrol, the crash occurred just after 12 a.m. near 1078 Old Kenly Road.
The first ATV crossed the center line and collided head-on with the second ATV. Both vehicles ran off the roadway, struck a ditch and overturned. Both drivers were ejected, officials say.
One of the drivers died in the wreck, and the other was severely injured.
