The North Carolina Education Lottery reports that someone bought a $1 ticket at a Rocky Mount store for a $1,432,942 jackpot win on Monday.
The lucky ticket came from the Circle K on Sunset Avenue in Rocky Mount. The winner has 180 days to claim the prize at lottery headquarters in Raleigh.
The prize marked the ninth-largest win in the history of the Cash 5 game. The odds of winning a Cash 5 jackpot are 1 in 962,598.
The current jackpot for Tuesday night's Mega Millions jackpot is an estimated $530 million.
