Rain expected to stick around for work week
An upper-level disturbance moving in from the west slowly trudged across North Carolina Sunday, bringing a steady stream of moisture that is expected to linger for several days, WRAL meteorologist Aimee Wilmoth said.

Nothing so severe is expected in North Carolina, but light to moderate showers will continue on and off through Wednesday at least, Wilmoth said.
In the past 48 hours, Raleigh has seen nearly one inch of rainfall. Over an inch fell in Goldsboro and a half-inch showered Roxboro.
An additional 1 to 2 inches of rain is expected by Monday evening.
Temperatures will be in the high 70s Monday before climbing into the mid 80s for Tuesday and Wednesday.
