'Concerned citizen' thwarts suspects in Dudley theft
An observant bystander thwarted a pair of suspects accused of stealing from a home in Dudley, authorities said Friday.

Wayne County sheriff’s deputies said a “concerned citizen” was working outside Thursday when he noticed a gray car pull into a residence on Southern Plaza Drive. The witness said he saw a man leave the home with some items that he put in the car.
The witness drove to the home and blocked in the suspect’s car, but the driver got around him and fled.
Deputies said the witness followed the vehicle until it broke down on Arrington Bridge Road. Deputies were nearby and spotted the car, detaining the driver and passenger. They found property missing from the home in the car.
Lawrence Charles McIntyre Jr., 22, of the 400 block of Denmark Street in Goldsboro, and Christina Simelton, 23, of the same address, were charged with one count each of breaking and entering, larceny and possession of stolen goods.
Deputies said McIntyre also sold 11 cameras that were stolen from the Rosewood Wal-Mart, where he was employed, to the Trade It in Goldsboro. McIntyre was additionally charged by the Goldsboro Police Department with larceny by employee.
Authorities said more charges are pending.
