Cold front rolling into Triangle overnight
As the sun went down Saturday, so too did the temperatures across the Triangle area with a noticeable cold front that will bring light rain to parts of the area most of he day Sunday and into Monday, said WRAL meteorologist Aimee Wilmoth.

Temperatures climbed into the low 80s Saturday afternoon, about 10 degrees warmer than early-October averages, but are expected to top at at just 60 degrees for most of the area on Sunday.
"There will be a possibility of light rain in areas overnight as the cold front moves in," Wilmoth said. "The light rain should continue in much of the area throughout the day Sunday."
Overnight temperatures are expected to dip into the low- to mid-50s with chances of light rain in areas. Temperatures will struggle to break the 60s in many areas Sunday as a 30-40 percent chance of rain will carry over into the workweek.
Overnight lows could dip into the 40s by Sunday and Monday night.
Sunshine will push temperatures into the upper 60s to low 70 by the middle of next week, but overnight lows will stay in the upper 40s to near 50 degrees.
